August 7, 2026

Every day is special to me as long as I’m with my loved ones.  Sometimes, I have to stay home because many places don’t allow dogs. However, yesterday, Nancy, who lives at least 75 minutes away from my breeder, decided to make an exception and bypass some other shopping just to let me join her on her delivery. I was so so happy to see Jill and since she was on a time schedule, I didn’t get to see any of her other beautiful standard poodles.  Her warmth and love for us dogs is quite overwhelming and whenever I see her, I realize why I am such a secure dog.   Those first years of life for both puppies and humans forms so much of our personality.Oh, please don’t take offense that I compare puppies and babies. If you love both, you’ll understand if you think about it!

Right now, Nancy is also writing “Farm Memories” to honor her beginnings.   I suppose that is why I cherish visiting Jill whenever possible.    It’s been over four years since I last saw her. However, my cherished memories of my first years with her are priceless..  Just like Nancy, I never want to forget my first years on earth and how I became the person I am today. While Nancy fondly recalls walking to the milkhouse with her dad every morning at 5:30 AM to practice the saxophone, I can now join her for her quiet time at sunrise.

A dog truly understands the depth of love when their companions acknowledge that they could benefit from a new couch, yet the dog remains content with its current one.   Pretty cool, huh!   Yes, as long as I’m content with our current couch, they won’t bother looking for a replacement. Could I kindly request a shorter blog post this week so that I can enjoy this morning’s tranquility?  Thank you kindly!

  1. Thanks Harmony! I don’t blame you as it looks like a comfortable spot to relax in the morning. Us humans would like a cup of coffee also!!
