Harmony’s Early Farewell Requests, August 2, 2026
Hello Blog Readers: While I hope that I am around for a long time with my diagnosis of lymphoma, I wanted to write this letter to my companions and readers because often we don’t express how we feel about others in our lives until they have passed away. I dictated this letter to Nancy as we sat on our quiet deck overlooking a peaceful retired golf course.
When I’m gone, please promise me that you’ll continue to love the way I’ve taught you to love; try not to be sad.I believe I’ll see you again someday. When you enter those gates of heaven, I’ll come running to you, knocking you over, even though I never did that on earth.
I’m so glad you know our creator. God will guide you through this difficult time. You’ve lost many dogs before me, and I believe each one felt as loved as I do.
Try to love the people around you, even if some don’t reciprocate your love. Step outside your music bubble and give people a chance. And for goodness’ sake, stop crying when I read these blogs to you for approval. Because, hello, I’m still here, and I want you to be at your best.

Thank you for the gentle reminders, especially cherishing the present rather than constantly anticipating the future. This made me teary because some day, I’ll miss your words of wisdom so much. And I’m sure you’ve heard this from them, but I know how much Nancy & Greg love you. There’s honestly nothing harder than saying goodbye. Until that moment, eat the treats, chase the balls, and know you’ve left us all with so much love. Sending it right back to you today and always. ❤️
