Remembering My Friend, Miche!

Remembering My Friend, Miche!

Today, I’m sharing a beautiful tribute that Alicia and Andy (my web hosts) shared with me when they lost their beloved Miche. I had the pleasure of meeting Miche once, and he truly radiated joy.    Below, is the writing that Alicia wrote about Miche.     Thank you for allowing me at least one day with Miche.   “Some candles burn fast and bright. Our sweet boy Miche was one of them.    He was only with us for…

May 27, 2026 Greg’s Hospital Visit, ETC.

Once again, I accompanied Nancy to the hospital to visit Greg. He’s recovering from cellulitis, which was quite frightening for the first few days. While he naps, I’ll at least start my blog. There were several days when the head nurse adamantly refused to allow dogs. Today’s nurse, however, was more accommodating, and here I am, with my human companions in the hospital. Apparently, hospitals become quite dull without me around. Since Greg wasn’t entertaining the nurses and staff, I…

May 23, 2026 My Annual Wellness Exam

Visiting my veterinarian, Dr. Jackie and her staff, is always a delightful experience.    Hannah, the veterinarian’s assistant assigned to me for my annual wellness checkup, greeted me with enthusiastic compliments about my appearance and breed. In all honesty, I believe Nancy thinks I’m the “poster child” for standard poodles, but in reality, I’m the “poster child” for how all dogs should behave.  It’s quite easy to behave well when I’ve earned the respect of my humans. After that, we…

I’ve been experiencing a persistent lemon taste and smell in our house. While researching “lemons,” I couldn’t help but chuckle at the peculiar phrases humans use. One such phrase is “If life gives you lemons, make lemonade!” According to Wikipedia, this proverb is used to encourage optimism and a positive attitude in the face of adversity or misfortune. Lemons symbolize sourness or difficulty in life, while making lemonade transforms them into something positive or desirable.” Personally, I’ve learned from experience…

I had forgotten how useful the YouTube channel could be until yesterday.  Ever since we moved into our new home, Nancy has been bothered by the crud under the glass because of the awkward way to access it.  She attempted to get at it once in the past and gave up.   I encouraged her to give YouTube another try with Greg, who is more mechanically inclined. They were able to remove the glass.   It was rather interesting to…

Yesterday, we visited our preferred Subaru dealership for an oil change. While I was there, I had an idea that they could use my help in designing a designated area for us dogs to run around in while we accompany our owners. They had a long staircase for us to run up, but once we reached the top, there were no designated paths for us dogs to explore.   By now, I am doing reality check and realizing that I…

May Day is a new concept for me. There’s a lot of history behind the term “May Day,” but I’ll focus on its association with the beginning of spring.  Even I knew that when I spotted a bag of lemons on our kitchen table, spring had arrived! You see, I know that a bag of lemons signifies Nancy’s upcoming endeavor to grate them for lemon zest in her Lemon Crinkle Cookies. Of course, this is after she  finds her new…
