Certainly, it’s springtime when Nancy pulls out our little Toro lawn mower to mow the lawn. (After all, what else would she do with a lawn mower?) We were just watching the 5:00 PM news when Nancy abruptly announced that she was going to mow the lawn. So, I quickly found my orange ball and got ready to go outside for the next 2-3 hours.   Even if the Minnesota Twins baseball was on soon,  there was no way I…

Once again, just when I thought we were getting spring weather, it becomes cooler and cloudy. But at least we were able to get all the weeds out of the mulch before more mulch is brought in with Greg‘s truck. Some people would choose to use weed killer but not Nancy. She doesn’t want to risk any more chemicals that could hurt me. Besides, in between digging up weeds, she plays fetch with me in the backyard.   While…

When we woke up this morning, I knew the sunrise would be incredible! Easter Weekend! April 4, 2026

Today, I can already sense that it’s going to be an amazing day!  First, Nancy drank only a cup of leftover coffee. Then, she put on her “everyday” clothes. My understanding is that when she was  a farm girl, “everyday” clothes were essentially the same every single day for a week. They were usually the clothes she changed into after a day of school or church. She said her favorite were her overalls that she liked wearing when she practiced…

Here we go again with our unpredictable weather. Since Nancy drives 64 miles for her ophthalmologist appointment, I’ve decided to write my blog today. Hopefully, we can squeeze in our hour-long walk  yet today. It’s been a few days since I started this blog, and we’ve been making progress. Yesterday, we walked (and started to run) two miles, and we’re gradually increasing our distance every other day. April Fool’s Day, undoubtedly one of the silliest days on the human calendar,…
