March 7, 2026

Just like humans don’t want anyone watching them perform their duties, I don’t either! So, why does Nancy constantly watch my every move outside? Can’t a dog get some space, at least while doing its business in the yard? Besides, I’m not a puppy anymore. It’s high time she treats me like an adult dog, not some little puppy. Listen to me, being all pushy and acting like a spoiled puppy right now. I’ll stop complaining about my “pet peeve” after I explain why it’s called that.   Allow me to look up the definition of pet peeve.  Well, I think we all know that it means that it is something that annoys one; but, why “pet” peeve?   I had to go to AI for this

“A “pet peeve” is a personal, specific annoyance that someone nurtures or fixates on, almost as if it were a “pet” they are tending to.  The phrase combines “pet” (meaning cherished or personal) with “peeve” (a 19th-century term fro a complaint or source of irritation derived from “peevish”).”

I thought she was starting to trust me like an adult dog because she often lets me go outside without a rope.   Even neighbors have asked her if we have an electric fence because they see me watching the neighborhood without any gate or ropes.   At least she doesn’t take photos of me when I am doing my duties. There’s taking care of a dog, and then there’s obsessive!
Speaking of obsessive, I do think Nancy is a bit obsessive about my grooming?   I am constantly being brushed, ears and teeth cleaned and of course, grinding my pawnails.   It is obvious that she should take care of her own drab hair style…..I didn’t say that I was just writing what I was thinking now.   It just came out on my computer.    Gosh, now my computer reads my thoughts?   Maybe I should just quit now before I get in trouble?!   Good thing we have unconditional love mastered in this home.   Photo was taken in February 2026 one morning.
