March 27, 2026

That sun is trying to shine through those rain clouds, as much as I want to go on my walk already!   Talk about teasing coming right from our Creator above.   Now, I finally figured I might as well write another blog since Nancy just poured herself another cup of coffee.      Yesterday, we strolled along the edge of our local lake, near our home. We were feeling adventurous, but not so much that we ventured onto what…

Yesterday, I saw my shadow after I had at least an inch of hair taken off of my dog body.   My shadow appeared larger than usual, and it seemed as though my twirling around had become significantly easier. It was as if the extra body hair had somehow slowed me down. Who would have thought that a little extra hair could have such an impact on my agility?    Nancy understands. She herself mentioned, “I need to finally shed those…

March 20, 2026, Grooming Day!

March 20, 2026, Grooming Day!

I  adapt quite readily to anticipated activities at our house. While you’ve been hearing about my long coat, I’ve actually had my paws and face often shaved. My paw nails have been ground down frequently, and I just go with the flow each day.   But, I was totally thrown off today when Nancy trimmed my undercoat, ears and top head.   I overheard her telling Greg that she would rather groom me than clean her house, which is, of…

March 15, 2026, SNOWSTORM!

March 15, 2026, SNOWSTORM!

Perhaps if I write my blog during a snowstorm, more people will actually read it?   I definitely look forward to playing in the snow while Nancy snowblows the driveway.   Everyone, and I mean even me, needs a day to not be in a rush!  In fact, yesterday, if I may bore you with our morning routine, Nancy heated up some day-old coffee  because she was in a bit of a rush to get to a baking/cooking class.  She…

The chimes were blaring and the winds howling, but I could slumber a bit longer  this morning because I knew Nancy would stay home today. My long awaited grooming was being procrastinated once again until a warmer day.   Well actually, I was not sure about that quite yet?   All I know is that I was up early, long before the sunrise to watch Nancy do what she did in these early mornings.   She always told me that…

March 7, 2026

Just like humans don’t want anyone watching them perform their duties, I don’t either! So, why does Nancy constantly watch my every move outside? Can’t a dog get some space, at least while doing its business in the yard? Besides, I’m not a puppy anymore. It’s high time she treats me like an adult dog, not some little puppy. Listen to me, being all pushy and acting like a spoiled puppy right now. I’ll stop complaining about my “pet peeve”…

March 5, 2026

This week all that ice and snow are melting  around our house.  I stand at the edge of our driveway, watching Nancy throw large chunks of ice to break them apart. Why doesn’t she simply let them melt slowly instead of rushing the process? I suppose I shouldn’t complain because I’m eager to shed this winter coat and I want it done NOW!   Instead of watching woodturning videos with Greg, she could be grooming me on the grooming table….
