February 7, 2026

Right now, most of our neighbors are asleep, but while Nancy enjoys her strong coffee, we are both totally mesmerized by the sunrise. I think we’ve both concluded  that even with a new cell phone, the beauty of the sunrise just can not be captured (at least not in our lack of experience with the camera for now?)!   Not only do I enjoy seeing God’s creation each morning, I thrive to be outside to inhale the many aromas of nature.  I know, you can’t even imagine how much better our sense of smell is than your human noses.  All you have to do is “google” why does a dog have a better sense of smell than humans  will provide you with the necessary understanding.

Actually, just yesterday,  I was able to accompany Nancy to both the post office and the library.  The post office was a breeze, but the librarian hesitated for a moment when she noticed me at the entrance.  After Nancy told the librarian she would be quick, a cute little girl popped right in front of me.  My senses knew that she was fine and we visited with her for a bit.  If I had that piece of paper that stated I was a therapy dog, they would welcome me back anytime.   Don’t even get me started on the proper etiquette of so many things in your human world.  You don’t need to be a psychiatrist to sense what people are truly like, right?

Today, Nancy’s dearest friend, Sue, and her husband were planning to visit, but their circumstances changed, and the trip was postponed.  I’m just as disappointed as everyone else because Sue, too, gets me!
