You know, there is not much that surprises me when it comes to what my companions may attempt to do; but, this one actually does. Nancy has repeatedly expressed her desire for Greg to teach her woodturning. Those would only be interesting if I were to be able to observe and make comments on the content of the lessons, don’t you think? However, those videos would only be interesting if I could observe and provide feedback on the content. The lessons will begin once Greg receives his Christmas gift of a good garage heater. Greg hasn’t been able to woodturn yet because the garage is too cold.
Interestingly, Nancy is also eager to practice her saxophone in a heated garage. When I inquired about her preference for practicing in her so-called studio office, her response was, “I need a distraction-free space, like the old milk house. I need a place without phones, TVs, or computers. In other words, like the old days.” Sometimes, I think she’s a bit too sentimental! You wouldn’t catch me saying that to her, though! Anyhow, I think there will be some interesting events happening in our garage soon.
After Nancy’s first bone density test, she was encouraged by her doctor to keep walking and perhaps consume more calcium and vitamin D. Her doctor had ordered the test because of her freak fractured bones in her foot a few years ago. I suppose I could have had a bone density test too; but I think I would realize if my bones were fragile. I only tell you this because now, Nancy knows her bones are better than she thought. In other words, NO excuses for not walking more with me.
Here are some bowls that Greg has made.
