Just like my humans cherish the simple pleasures of life, so do I, as a dog! Years ago, Nancy found me the perfect small pillow at   an annual garage sale she attends every year (the only garage sale now that she attends).   I immediately took to that little pillow when I’m napping on the couch. While many people don’t even allow their dogs on the furniture, our couch has remained unchanged because I love it too.  Anyhow, after washing the pillow case often, she ventured to find me a brand new pillow with no luck in local stores.     Yesterday, it arrived in the mailbox and I am one happy dog with my new pillow!

Perhaps I appreciate not only the pillow itself but also the effort it took to find it for me. My older pillow is still perfectly fine. While I share my pillow(s) with Greg when he naps, it will be interesting to observe which one he prefers.  So, as you can read here, my life is not complex whatsoever.   It should be that simple for humans too, but, I constantly remind them that choosing joy in the little things is a huge choice!

When was the last time you took the time and effort to research something for someone, whether it was a pet or a human? Nancy, for instance, misses her parents dearly. She fondly remembers doing many errands for her mom, which involved searching for items that are no longer easily available in stores.   Her Mom always expressed her sincere gratitude in tracking down some odd items.    There it is again, the gift of time.

I think I will take a nap on my new pillow now.  Until next time. Harmony
