We were prepared for the snow, were you? As most of you who read this blog are already aware, the snowfall initially came gradually. A simple, pristine white blanket of snow covered the ground, providing enough coverage for me to play my ball fetch game. But then, yesterday we got quite a bit more snow, enough for Nancy to pull out the snowblower later today. That snowblower is as loud as the backpack blower, so I will remain in the house when that machine roars.
There is something about a snowy weekend that seems to make us all reminisce about past snow days. I was born during December, so one should think about me during the Christmas season. My dog breeder, Jill, spent her Christmas season nurturing all of us puppies with colorful dog toys and beautiful music. Nancy recalls making “snow angels” and playing “king of the hill” on her farm. Her dad would pile all the snow into a big hill, and they would play on it for hours. I can only imagine how much exercise and amusement that would have been! I don’t think Nancy could build such a hill with just a little snowblower? Now, I’ll conclude my blog after enjoying a short while in the fresh snow. There wasn’t much snow, but enough to prevent us from playing ball fetch in our yard. However, I might get to play in the plowed street later. Actually, since there is a Minnesota Viking’s Football game on in the mid-afternoon, we will go for a walk too. Greg loves football, but us, not so much! For once, I will keep my blog shorter and include my action shots from our snow fun earlier today.
