There was a lot of excitement surrounding the Northern Lights this past week.   We peered out from our windows and even stepped onto the deck, but unfortunately, we couldn’t spot anything. One of Nancy’s friends sent us some breathtaking photos of the Northern Lights and asked, “Nancy, you always send such marvelous pictures! Did you see the Northern Lights last night?” At first, we both felt a bit sad that we couldn’t view them until Nancy reminded me of every day’s beauty of our sunrises. We all need to remind ourselves to cherish the beauty that surrounds us, wherever and whenever it may be!

Well, actually, that’s my job to help my loving companions maintain a balanced perspective.   Louie didn’t start his blog with “LightheartedLouie” for nothing.   He knew very well he was trying to keep their lives lighthearted.   Speaking of lighthearted, I sure was lightheaded after all the noise from that commercial backpack blower Nancy used to blow all the final leaves into never never land….I mean lawn!  Seriously, that backpack blower even drowned out Nancy’s singing along with her radio station she was playing through her sound cancelling airpods. I am not sure which is worth, her singing or the noise of that machine?!

Today, while we were enjoying some outdoor fun, we noticed a significant number of maple leaves on the other side of our house. We had already picked them up a few times.  But,  the leaves from the neighboring houses were  blown over. I don’t think I have to worry anytime soon about that loud backpack blower because Nancy said since I  don’t do  my duties on that side of the house.    Yup, she picks after me the minute I do a dump (TMI major, right!?).   Anyhow, none will get lost under those big yellow leaves on the south side of our house.  Now you are thinking, doesn’t  Harmony have anything better to write about other than her daily dumps.  Hey, I am a dog and just like you, we all have to do our private duties!
