November 6, 2025

Who would have imagined that an ordinary day would transform into an incredibly captivating one? It’s not uncommon for my companions to invite me to join them on trips into the city.   So, along I went to Greg’s physical therapy, not seeking any attention, but rather, just being together with my humans.  I was doing fine  being inconspicuous until I went into the waiting area of the clinic.   One would have thought I was some celebrity of the canine world or something.  The sweet woman (Amber)  from the reception area came out and sat on the floor to chat with us.  Nancy says that people that don’t demand attention are those that attract the most attention.

I wondered about that, “people that don’t demand attention are those that attract the most attention.”   So, here it is days later and I have been groomed. Not seeking attention, just saying. As I run errands with Nancy, I manage to not draw attention to myself  through Home Depot. At a one place  that we stop at, we receive a glare from one woman. I think  nothing of it.   But Nancy says to us when the lady leaves, “lighten up lady” which makes me think.  She is actually very protective of me, whether people welcome or unwelcome me (dogs in general).

I suppose all I am saying is that whether I get attention or not, it simply does not matter to me.   Sure, it seems to please Nancy when people like me, but that never diminishes my true self.   After all, we dogs are simply wired to be ourselves   You humans should really consider adopting that philosophy as well.
P.S.   Happy Birthday, Nathan S.   Nancy asked if you want some cookies sent to Montana?
