Looking Forward to Autumn, Day 3, October 7, 2025
As I gazed up at the sky recently, I noticed subtle shifts in color. The color changes in the Minnesota landscapes are undoubtedly a lovely event. Needless to say, we all look forward to the color symphony! While I’m sad to see some of our perennial flowering bushes transitioning to their winter hues, I appreciate how the orchestration of color is conducted toward the trees.
We planned to attend a Fall Festival to select more pumpkins and vibrant squash. However, our plans were abruptly altered when Nancy encountered an issue with one of her eyes. The doctors advised her to remain calm until she could be examined by her Ophthalmologist. Fortunately, it was windy enough outside to keep the bees away while we sat on the deck. Greg also allowed her to take down the noisy chimes. I know, you would think a musician would like the chimes, but not when they drownd out all of the natural music in the air waves.
Most definitely, we will be eagerly anticipating the color changes each new day. Our color symphony will be made up of subtle yellow tones to robust red entrances. Then, the oranges will be mixed in to add some dynamic contrast to our composition. By now, you are thinking, “Gosh, that Harmony must live with a musician who has influenced her thinking!” As the beautiful autumn walks come to an end, we’ll find ourselves sitting on the deck, listening intently to the settling air that carries all the phrases into a temporary pause for the day.
