I’ve noticed that Nancy is as particular about her coffee as I am about my dog treats. When Costco had Peet’s coffee beans on sale, she stocked up for a few months, and her mornings were filled with bliss.   A few years ago, she purchased a three-pound can of ground coffee that she described as horrible. However, being a farm girl, she couldn’t bear the thought of throwing it away.    I figure you are already guessing how this story ends, right?  Yup, that was the only coffee left in the house for her morning caffeine these past days.   I on the other hand, have an ample supply of dog treats that are applied to my dog food.

Nancy always asserts that if a restaurant serves excellent coffee, their food is typically equally impressive.  Makes sense as people usually would be sipping on their coffee before their food arrives.   What about people who don’t drink coffee?  Well, just skip this paragraph then, HA!  I have been with Nancy on the very rare occasions when she drives through a Starbucks. She does love her Carmel Machiato treats a couple times a year.    Come to think of it, since Nancy usually has delicious coffee beans to grind in the morning, that might be one reason that she avoids eating at any restaurants.   Not only is she too cheap to eat out, she usually doesn’t care for the food anywhere.    Now, I understand why she does not seek out restaurants that allow dogs, even in the summer.

We are deeply saddened and concerned because my blog hosts have a two-year-old puppy named Miche who is facing some health problems. We feel helpless in assisting them while they await the results of all the tests conducted on their precious Miche.   Perhaps I should visit them and cheer up their other dog, Brioche?    I certainly didn’t enjoy witnessing Louie and Serenade fall ill. I have fond memories of living with them for several years.

Happy Anniversary, Andy and Alicia! You are cherished and loved  by our family and by many people.     Happy Birthday, also to Gia!   We miss you in Minnesota!
