July 17, 2025

It was already challenging enough that I had my paw nails ground down for what seemed like hours yesterday. Now, I feel compelled to write another blog. Or, shall I say, “grind out” another blog?  I suppose I can’t honestly describe blogging as a particularly chore.   It’s not too much to ask of me when there aren’t any other demands on me.  Except of course,  if you consider it a chore or demand to be constantly charming and adorable?!

The past few times I’ve had my paw nails trimmed, I’ve sat on the floor with Nancy. However, she eventually realized that I prefer to be standing on the grooming table for serious grooming sessions.   We didn’t take a photo of my spa (HA!) paw trimming; however, I’ve included an old photo of Louie’s paw trimming. Yes, she truly gives me many breaks during this grinding process, assuring me that I’m a good dog and expressing her love for me.   It’s no wonder she stopped taking any of her dogs to professional groomers twenty years ago. They certainly didn’t have the time or compassion to give each dog the attention it deserved during grooming.

Since I’m on the topic of grooming, I suppose I can share that Nancy dyed her hair again this morning. Now, she claims that her monthly hair color will remind her of my monthly paw grinding. It’s only fitting to mention that she has long realized that the professionals do a much better job at grooming both of us. But hey, who’s complaining? Certainly not me.

After my longer blog last week, I’ll keep this one concise. Have a joyful, peaceful, and loving day and weekend!
