June 27, 2025

Actually, it’s much easier to use someone else’s thoughts than my own. Today, however, I’ll try to untangle all the threads in my mind and share them on my blog. Between the intense heat and the recent rainy day, I feel a refreshing sense of clarity.
When our bodies don’t want to move, don’t succumb to a lethargic mind also. We’ve embarked on a new walking mission at home. Our goal is to walk at least 10,000 steps a day. Nancy started wearing sunglasses during our walks, claiming it’s because of the sun. HA! I think she just wants to remain anonymous. She claims that people judge her while she walks me,  a standard poodle. I dismissively say, “bof,” (the common french phrase for whatever)  and remind her that we’re beyond such trivial matters and nonsense.
When you’re simply contemplating your day, make an effort to physically walk it off, espcially if there is any stress.  Think about the last time you saw someone walking their dog with a gloomy look on their face. From my experience, it doesn’t happen too often, except perhaps on the initial steps. But soon, their dog guides them to “let go” of everything and free themselves to glide freely rather than heavy steps.
