June 1, 2025: Final Day, A Week’s Worth of a Daily Dose of Peace
On this final day of a Daily Dose of Peace, I wanted to do something I rarely do on my blog. As you know, I steer clear of religion and politics on my platform. However, I realized that if I asked Nancy to contribute her dose of peace, my blog would inevitably become centered around Jesus. If the name of Jesus, which is considered precious to Nancy, offends you, you may want to stop reading. However, if you’re interested in learning more about Nancy, you can continue reading what she shared with me.
She started by sharing John 16:33, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Nancy also said that Billy Graham perfectly sums up her sentiments, “The peace that Jesus came to bring was not the peace of appeasement, or the peace of compromise and conformity. It was a spiritual peace. The world doesn’t give peace, for it doesn’t have any peace to give. It fights for peace, it negotiates for peace, it maneuvers for peace, but there is no ultimate peace in the world. But Jesus gives peace to those who put their trust in Him. If you have received His peace, then you are in His camp. But if you have rejected it, then you are against Him. His peace is available to everyone who will receive it.” Nancy has numerous stories she refers to as “Godwinks,” and her Jesus is far more important than even me, Greg or her music (and that says a lot ya know!)

This topic could easily span weeks, covering a wide range of peace-related subjects such as world peace, spiritual peace, inner peace, emotional peace, and many more. So, I simply want to express my hope that all my readers find peace and tranquility in their own homes.

Hi Harmony!
I’m aware you don’t write about politics or religion, but why not? You do well with it. I enjoyed your final peace blog. An intelligent dog like yourself might have good insight on both religion and politics. Especially now… Do any other readers agree?
