Harmony’s Blog: May 31 2025: Day Six, A Week’s Worth of a Daily Dose of Peace
I won’t even attempt to speculate on why Nancy hurriedly left the house to capture sunset photos over the local lake. Did I mention she left without me even tagging along? Wasn’t she thinking I’d want to witness the sunset or that I could be in the photo? Oh, brother!
When I write these blogs, I enjoy having her nearby for moral support. All this time, I believed we were on a daily journey of peace together. But I suppose we all need to find peace within ourselves before we can truly find peace with others. As I sit here, writing my post and blog without her, I can find the peace within me. Instead of giving her a dirty look when she returns home, I’ll let the peace flow through me now. If that doesn’t sounds sappy, nothing will.
Our inner peace must be found before we can help others find theirs. Sometimes, we need to be the ones to plant the seed of peace. I’m glad I’ve helped Nancy achieve this over the years, and she’s helped me too. I suppose I could find all kinds of quotes about inner peace on the internet, but for myself, I do not need anyone else’s quotes. Well maybe just one quote pushed in front of me by Nancy. “Dogs are our link to paradise. They don’t know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring–it was peace.” – Milan Kundera
Maybe tonight, Nancy will take me along to take photos of the lake sunset? Stay tuned in…….
