Harmony’s Blog: May 28, 2025: Day Five, A Week’s Worth of a Daily Dose of Peace
First and foremost, please remember that these Daily Doses of Peace are presented from a dog’s perspective! You may not know this, but I’m not really a fussy eater, unless I don’t have a few treats sprinkled on my food. What in the world does this have to do with PEACE you are wondering, right? Well, here goes. Sometimes, I may not like the toppings on my food, but I try to be polite and eventually eat it. Then, PEACE happens! I know that is a bit of a far stretch today.
Just today, Nancy prepared Greg’s favorite meal, which is goulash. If you’re unfamiliar with it, I recommend looking it up because I simply don’t feel like explaining it right now. Anyhow, she decided to throw in some crushed red pepper spice. I am not sure why she always chooses to experiment with that goulash dish? Greg said “Whoa, this is way too spicy, I am sorry, I just can’t eat much!” To keep the PEACE, she set the goulash aside and called her brother, Mike to see if he wanted it. He did suggest how she could tone the spicy dish to accommodate Greg….it will be interesting what happens next.
So for this dog, I keep peace by going with the flow in these cases. OK, so maybe not the best suggestion for a dose of peace. All I know is that there is peace in our house when we can laugh about Nancy’s interesting concoctions she creates in the kitchen.
