May 22, 2025: Day One, A Week’s Worth of a Daily Dose of Peace
As I was writing my blog the other day, I had an idea to start a new series on how to bring more peace into our lives. The sun is finally shining here in Minnesota, and as much as I hate to admit it, I certainly didn’t enjoy being out in the cold and rainy days. Those gloomy days were even starting to annoy Nancy, who usually loves those reminiscent days of the Paris rains.
This morning, I yearned to stay outdoors for as long as possible. After playing fetch, I kindly asked Nancy to return outside. She had to collect all the twigs and branches that had accumulated in the yard. Since the sticks needed to be loaded into the truck, I was relieved of my fetching sticks duties. The truck is too high off the ground for me to swing them that high. Instead, I continued to play with my orange ball.
So, here’s my suggestion for the first day of bringing more peace into your lives. Why not take a moment to inhale and exhale the fresh spring air. I like Susan C. Young’s quote, “Breathe in peace, breathe out stress. Relaxing can bring relief to much of what ails you. In our stressful and often negative world, your decision to make relaxing a priority will help you navigate, handle, and minimize stress. Doing so will positively impact your health, well-being, and happiness.”
Now, that’s our excuse for a thriving Thursday that’s truly a thankful and therapeutic place of tranquility!
