Despite the hectic week I’ve had, I’m struggling to find a topic for today’s post. Perhaps I should wait until I’m inspired before writing. I suppose I could begin with the most evident fact: despite having my face and paws shaved, I’m still wearing my winter coat. Now, as the day draws to a close, we find ourselves all gathered on the deck, basking in the beauty of our surroundings. While I often capture our sunrises, our sunsets can be equally captivating, offering a serene and peaceful ambiance. After all, dogs, just like you, also appreciate tranquil settings! At least the peacefulness of the surroundings left Nancy speechless, preventing her from making her musical analogy.
We managed to mow the lawn yesterday using our small, ordinary lawnmower. I kept Nancy company while she mowed and threw the orange ball for me for about 2.5 to 3 hours. She mentioned that it was around 11,000 steps for her. I suppose it won’t take long, and she’ll insist on me wearing a step counter too. Oh brother!
We visited the farm last weekend with the intention of attempting to start their massive walk-behind Toro mower, but unfortunately, we were unsuccessful. Nancy claims she doesn’t mind using the small lawnmower, but I have my doubts. That large lawnmower gave her a sense of empowerment, whatever that might mean! I just want to be able to play fetch for the duration of the lawn mowing, c’est tous!
What else is there in life besides beautiful and peaceful moments? Today, I was brushed out again because, as you can guess, I haven’t had my spring cut yet. My coat is still not shaved off. I absolutely love looking into Nancy’s eyes and seeing the peace of the sunrise and sunsets reflected in them. Our peaceful souls line up.
I noticed that Nancy had ordered my shampoo and conditioner from Chewy.com, so I’m hopeful that the coat will finally come off this weekend, and I can take a bath afterward. I know, drum roll please!
