Almost April 1st!

Almost April 1st!

My new favorite place to visit is the Home Depot. Surprisingly, everyone seems to notice me there, even though I never expect them to. I suppose it helped a bit that Nancy brushed me out for over an hour before our journey there today. I really look like a big teddy bear dog right now.   Oh, and I should let you know that our trip to Home Depot was to buy new ropes for my backyard outings. You see, we use two ropes.   One  rope is for when I’m simply going out to do my duties.  While he other rope is just so I have a rope attached when we’re playing fetch.  Okay, so when I’m free of all ropes, I’ve been known to be a bit stubborn or aloof to playing fetch.  You know, dogs like our mind games too!  I am not even sure why I play better with the rope attached….because I barely noticed the rope until Nancy steps on it at times to get my attention.

The other errands I had to wait in the car with  Greg. I’ve visited some stores that don’t permit dogs, but I’ve always behaved so well that they never question my intentions.   A couple of times I seemed to distract so many customers that there was no way anyone would demand my departure. I believe it’s becoming  a challenge  for Nancy to identify who would have the audacity to evict us.    For this reason, she takes me more places.   Nancy says if she can’t turn heads by herself (not that that was ever her goal), she can be certain I do turn heads.   Likewise, that’s not even my intention.

Here it is  already April 1st!  While  humans call it April Fool’s Day, don’t be fooled!  Moreso, don’t be a fool!

  1. Happy April Fool’s Harmony (as it snows outside)! I try to remember my dad’s words that spring snow was like gold because it contained nitrogen to fertilize the soil. I’ve never fact-checked that, but it does improve my attitude when we get snow this time of the year.

I find it hard to believe that you’re stubborn and require a rope. Perhaps that’s an April Fool’s joke? Especially when in the next paragraph you speak of being so well-behaved? I have no doubt that you turn heads – I love seeing dogs when I’m out. How can you not smile when you see a dog?

Wishing you a wonderful start to the month and here’s hoping April (snow) showers bring April flowers!
