Happy New Year! January 1, 2025
Happy New Year, 2025! Even though Bobby McFerrin made the saying “Don’t Worry, Be Happy!” famous, I choose to think he learned that from a wise dog. Please forgive me for pointing this out to you humans one more time. Worry is a waste of your precious time because it is exhausting and extremely unhealthy. While I am not one to focus on the past (especially if it is negative) I do try to help you keep your life, lighthearted.
Let’s not waste any time in 2025 with worry. According to Nancy, “worry is emotional garbage” and everytime she starts to worry, she has to let it go the minute it tries to seep into her thoughts. That is where I am part of her solution. Yup, I am a constant reminder to her to let it all go. In her case, while I try to avoid politics and religion in my blog, she says, “Let it go and let God!” There, no preaching meant here, just quoting my humans.
Today, we have an overcast sky; but, my thoughts are never overcast. I prefer to promote the well-being of others to think of worries floating away with those clouds. In fact, now there is snow dancing outside our window. I will push Nancy to get us outside and catch snowflakes.
Pretty simple message for the New Year of 2025. Don’t Worry, PERIOD!

Happy New Year Harmony! I love that your picture is a visual inspiration of your blog theme – being lighthearted! There’s another similar saying – don’t sweat the small stuff, and it’s all small stuff. I think it’s a reminder for us humans to prioritize the right things in our lives – like the joy of chasing snowflakes. A good thing to reflect on as we start the new year. Wishing you and your humans a wonderful start to 2025!
Happy New Year, Dana! What a pleasure it was to read your delightful words! I missed your wise comments! Enjoy 2025!
