Just when I thought we would have a quiet day after those loud fireworks and activities, our little friends Katie and Rose  arrived.  While I don’t mind the sounds of fireworks, they still disrupt my tranquility.  My two little human friends keep me laughing all the time when they visit.   From them discovering the simple pleasures of a fan to their inquisitive mindset upon discovering anything new here. On our walks, they remind me of the pretty  wild flowers I sometimes pass without pondering their beauty.

They were having so much fun outside playing fetch with me when Nancy noticed they kept stepping on my rope.   Patience is something we all learn, right?   Well, because I did not seem to drop the ball soon enough, they learned they could step on my rope to take the ball from me.  Since the  lesson of “be patient for her to drop the ball”  did not seem to work, Nancy unhooked my leash.   Seriously, brilliant as now I could run circles around them and drop the ball when I so desired.

As I finish this blog that I started a few days ago, our big lawn is mowed.  That simply means that I was able to play fetch for two hours while the lawn was mowed.   Right now, as I finish this blog, I am sitting on the deck with Nancy as   we peer over her straight lines of her mowing.   Geez, louise!   Personally, I prefer the weeks that the lines are diagonal.Life is good!    My only worries seem to be examining Nancy’s lawn mower lines.
