The trees are swaying to the chime’s song. As the sun plays peek-a-boo through the clouds and the birds scurry about, I rest my head on my little pillow, still dreaming. In my dreams, I am anticipating two adorable little girls visiting us today to give their parents a mini break of their daily duties. We have gathered books from the library and healthy snacks from Trader Joes. I even went to bed early in order to be reinvigorated for our guests.
It has been quite a busy week at our home. First, we hosted Mother’s Day. I was thrilled that Brioche and Micha accompanied Alicia and Andy. Oh, and of course some of their kids. It was exciting to listen to Ellie’s Denmark and Europe travels after she studied overseas for college. We played quite a bit in the backyard. We all discovered that we love the huge maple tree in our backyard for it provides such lovely shade on the hot summer days.
On Friday, we had two adorable girls (mentioned above) over for almost five hours. To say I was worn out after they left is an understatement, though it was all so wonderful! We went for walks, played fetch, read many books and somewhere in that time frame, ate lunch. Well actually, I couldn’t eat because I was far too excited to receive so much attention. OK, so you are right, it isn’t like I don’t get enough attention! Anyhow, I definitely have two more human friends!
