Day 2, Spreading Joy By Being Present!
Since I am back after my brief hiatus of Nancy writing day one of the series on Spreading Joy, I decided that I should do a bit of research before I jump into this new assignment. (If you may recall, it was her idea, not mine.) So, I cheated a bit and found this on the computer of spreading joy. You see, I already thought that I spread joy by writing my blog.
Helena Green wrote, “The phrase “spread some joy” means to share happiness or positivity with others, often through small acts of kindness, words of encouragement, or gestures of appreciation. It involves intentionally seeking out opportunities to brighten someone else’s day, and can range from simple acts like offering a compliment or a smile, to more involved acts like volunteering, donating, or organizing a community event.
Spreading joy can have a positive impact not only on the recipient, but also on the giver, as it can help cultivate a sense of connection, purpose, and meaning in life. By intentionally seeking out opportunities to spread joy, we can contribute to a more positive and compassionate world, one small act at a time.”
I realize that was a long quote; but, it assisted me for day two of Spreading Joy. Day 2 of Spreading Joy for me is to continue what I have been doing all of my life. I am constantly “seeking out opportunities to brighten someone else’s day” which is somewhat limited for me since I am a dog.
To put it in plain human language, by being loyal and dependable by being there, SPREADS JOY! Spreading joy is to be present!

Thank you! Your blog to be present is on point for me and a reminder. Your quote is not too long. I loved it and will read it again. Nancy, will you give Harmony a big hug from me, please… one for you, too. Love from Ohio!

…I bet it’s cold up there!
