December 6, 2023

I suppose by now you have read Nancy’s very own Thanksgiving note?  Since her own writing, she has managed to finally grind down my toenails and shave my paws and face.  Talk about exciting news, huh!   I do anticipate our walks will be resumed soon since her foot is finally showing some signs of healing.    I am so eager to search for other dogs in our new neighborhood.

Actually, now that I think about it, I’ve seen a lot of people walk by our house with their dogs. Sometimes Nancy rushes in to the house to jot down the human and dog names. Me, on the other paw, will remember them by their smells.

First impressions are definitely an interesting topic!  I could research the topic, but then, this is my blog and I will tell you how I form my first impressions.     Simply put, I just want to be acknowledged  when I meet someone new.  I don’t need anyone to gush all over me or pretend to like me,  because I can sniff out a fake faster than you can throw my orange ball.  Long story short, if you like/love me, I will know it.

Trust me, I don’t reflect often on first impressions.  However, each day as I awake, my first impressions of the day are set before my eyes with the gorgeous sunrises.   When there is no sun, I choose to see the beauty in the cloudy days too.   Here is another sample of our first impressions of each new day here.   These were all taken this morning.

  1. Those are such beautiful pictures of your new home! And I’m so glad you are meeting new neighbors and that Nancy’s foot is healing. It sounds like you are settling in nicely yo your new home and community. Hopefully the winter weather will hold off until Nancy’s foot is fully healed. I’m sure, like the rest of us, your humans are all aflutter preparing for Christmas, so I’m glad you are all groomed and ready for the holidays. Wishing you all a peaceful season of preparation for Christmas!
