Reminiscing: June 21, 2022

We sat on the hillside overlooking the swaying trees and prairie fields. It seemed like yesterday that we were able to walk through the fields and cut beautiful wildflowers for arrangements. Of course, I would always have to be checked for thorns and ticks after we walked through the tall grass; but, It was so worth the adventure.

It made us both wonder if the people that owned that prairie land now appreciate it like we did. Would they ever create the wonderful memories we made from years of roaming next and inside those prairie fields? Then I had to listen for many many more minutes (which seemed like hours) about how Nancy wished she would’ve appreciated the farm more when she lived on it. Back when she was a kid, she cared more about practicing in the milk house rather than getting outside the milk house to make more experiences to put into her music.

So, you ask, why am I rambling on about the prairie fields?   Well, it is this simple; I can because I am the author of this blog. It is summer and that seems to be the time we all become more reflective, right?!  I am sorry that I don’t have a photo of the prairie fields. Rather, I have a past photo of a wild flower bouquet that was put together years ago.    Now, go create lovely memories somewhere that makes your heart happy too!
