As you already know, us dogs wouldn’t think of making New Year’s Resolutions. But, because I realize humans attempt to make their lives better each year, I couldn’t pass up the subject. I may not have New Year’s Resolutions for myself, but I could think of a lot of them for you humans. Ouch! For starters, take notice how us dogs take one day at a time instead of worrying about tomorrow! Our words don’t get us in trouble because we listen more than we talk. We don’t decide to go on a “diet” because we eat whatever is put in front of us. Last, but not least, we are always thrilled when you say you will exercise more, because hey, us dogs are all about exercising all year.
So now what? I seemed to have probably annoyed a few of you? That was certainly not my intention! The only advice you will hear from this dog blogger today is, hug and love more often. I kind of stole that from Nancy after she was more or less suffocating me today. Yup, she was gushing all these lovey dovey phrases while she stroked my back and ears. Seriously, I am all for hugging, but does she have to talk while she hugs me too?! It is a good thing that I am not the only dog around here, because that allows me some space when she picks another dog to not just hug, but squeeze. Nope, I am not complaining! In fact, I will simply say to all you humans, hug and love more, and talk less. There, I said it!
