January 4, 2018 No New Year’s Resolutions?!

This early morning, all I needed was Nancy’s encouragement to nudge me to write the closest thing you will get from me about New Year’s resolutions. Actually, for starters may all of you start your day with those first minutes simply reflecting on how good your life is with or without me! Don’t misunderstand me, I am not your average dog because if I were, I wouldn’t be writing this blog now, would I? I never have chased squirrels nor have I scared any adorable kids away; but, I have sat near the kitchen table, yearning for some table scraps. Oh, how I am relieved that my owner is not a very good cook because I don’t miss much not getting any of those table scraps.

So, as you can see, I am having trouble here with any New Year’s resolutions. Oh, I know, I must, really MUST, get my owners to exercise more! Take notice, I did not say I need to exercise more, but I will definitely benefit by dragging them out to walk and run. Nancy has used that excuse of Greg’s stroke long enough to not be out there doing 5K’s and I won’t even suggest a 10K for her yet? (that will be next year!) I really love training Nancy, not just in running; but, in life! As we walk or/and run, we get to take in all the smorgasbord of the earth’s fragrances. We are surrounded by the beautiful sounds of the earth’s music and most of all, we just get to be together taking it all in, no talking needed. It just occurred to me, my New Year’s resolution is NO INSTRUCTIONS needed, JUST LIVE! Voila! There you go…JUST LIVE and spread joy, love and peace to all humans!

P.S. Word Press format changed and Louie is confused, so this photo is placed at the bottom of the blog instead of the first paragraph.

    1. Thanks for reading my blog Georgiana! Nancy told me that she watched the Standard Poodles with you at the Dog Show yesterday. She really enjoyed you and your poodle stories! I did not mind too much that she did not take me with her because I heard there were far too many people AND other dogs. Hope to meet you someday! Louie

  1. Happy New Year! Hope you have been able to get out and enjoy our January thaw. Wishing you a 2019 filled with peace, love and joy!

  2. Love the picture of Louie with Nancy – very nice and loving shot. Also the close up is very nice – Louie you are still a beautiful guy. Dylan and Kirby are going to “help” take down the many holiday decorations today. Will miss all the sparkling lights and festive colors. The boys will miss the fake poinsettias they’ve destroyed during the season. The flowers started out being very profuse wrapping a banister but now are just a shadow of their former glory. Hope that doesn’t happen to the rest of us – shadows of our former glory, that is. Our resolution is more joy and more glory and may it be for all of you in 2019 (and beyond)
