Baseball, dog training and grooming…oh my, I guess is better than, lions, tigers and bears! You probably guessed it that we had to hear all about the Minnesota Twin’s baseball game our owners recently attended, right?! Well, first they had to describe how fast the pitches were and that only made me wish I was younger and could catch such fast balls. Then, they went on to talk about the beautiful skyscraper view and the delicious Kramarczuk food stand. As if that was not enough, they continued to talk about the famous Minnesota Twin, named Joe Mauer. Rumor has it, that he may retire after this year. Gee, he does sound like he would be a dog person, don’t you think?
So, I am a bit sad that the Minnesota Twin’s season is over because that means that the cold Minnesota winter is just around the corner. This is when I need to remind myself to “live in the moment” and take in all the fall colors on our walks and drives. No wonder it is Nancy’s favorite season as well; not too hot or not too cold! There is just something about swishing through the fallen leaves from the trees that feels good on my paws. Anyhow, I suppose it soon will snow and then, it will be time for the snow maze in the backyard. Oh my, I think I will take a break here now, because it is pouring rain outside and I will go nap with Greg.
What else is new here? Well, that smarty pants Harmony passed her Obedience One class. I was quite relieved that she did not flash that certificate in my face because I would have reminded her that I had passed the Canine Good Citizen Test. Nancy already told me that they have a lot more work to do before Harmony can take Obedience Two. I try to teach Harmony some of the Obedience stuff, but she is just in that pre-teen stage and doesn’t want help. Gee, I wonder if I was like that when I was 2.5 years old? Don’t get me wrong, we love her around here; we simply forgot what it is like to have those “kids” around. Everything will remain fine as long as Harmony lets me play fetch outside with her. Stay tuned for more about living with those pre-teens, soon to be teenager.
P.S. I will have to take a photo of Harmony with her certificate for her first class. Just remember, this is still my blog, not hers, so I am allowed past bragging rights. HA!
