May 3, 2018 Louie Returns!

Well, now that spring has finally arrived here in Minnesota, I think the weather has invigorated me again.  You may notice it in my still macho prance, if I may so say myself.    Now, my owner Nancy’s prance  is not near as graceful as mine and she even gets to wear nice running shoes.  Yup,   I am feeling quite spritely for my age.

This next subject may be a bit touchy because many of you have your own Facebook page.  Finally, Nancy deactivated her Facebook account after I talked some sense into her about how it zaps her creative time.     I have told Nancy for years that it really is not worth the time.  For a few months, she even told me that I should have my own Facebook page, to which I soon tore that idea apart.  If people want to stay in touch with someone, they will and it really is that simple. Well, in fact, a couple of Nancy’s really good friends are not even on Facebook, so why bother, right?!    I am not going to sit here and justify the many reasons Nancy felt the need to quit Facebook for now because it is a win win situation.    I think most of what she posted were about us dogs and gee, they can just read my blogs to read about us and view photos – isn’t that enough?

So, how did you like having my Sweet Serene Serenade write last week’s blog?     She seriously is the sweetest dog you will ever meet.  She graciously accepted the role of mini blogger last blog, but oh she was so relieved when I did not ask her again this week.   Sometimes, I forget how sweet Serenade is,  because DUH, I am a dog, and we don’t think about such things too often.   But, it is you human’s fault that I even brought it up – there I was realizing what a sweet dog she is when most of you probably don’t have the privilege to live with someone so sweet.  Or, do you live with a sweet person or pet?   Please tell…..I have no idea if my life here is normal or not, it is all I have known! I can tell you this much, I am not going out to look for a different home, I think I have a great home right here, especially with NO Facebook.   P.S.  After only 5 days off of FB, Nancy decided to sign on for a max. amount of time of 5-10 minutes per day.  Oh boy……here we go again????

  1. In this picture, you look so happy for spring Louie! Ike & I are too, although I’m certain that we don’t prance quite as beautifully as you! We are so lucky to live with our sweet dog Ike. He always fills our days with joy and welcomes us with tail wags and kisses! We’ve been checking the garden every day to see what flowers have popped up overnight and are greeted each morning with something new. Hope you are fully enjoying the gorgeous sights, sounds, and smells of this beautiful season 🙂

  2. I am in total agreement with Nancy as I do not participate in Facebook other than to very occasionally check out a couple of special ones. As to sweet dogs – there are two dogs that live here who CAN be sweet if they are feeling especially kind, but they can also be very naughty, which seems to be more the case most of the time. However, they are totally loved and today my big wild gold dog did some amazing retrieves in field training and even went swimming though we humans thought the water was still too cold. There were four dogs there and NONE of them agreed as they all very willingly went into the water so deep that they had to swim. You dogs are just AWESOME and we humans should take some lessons.
