June 5, 2017

Now, this is the life!   Here I am enjoying the  outside deck, listening to the birds,  trees swaying, chimes singing,  while all at the same time,  playing fetch with Nancy.  Whoever said that us dogs can not multi-task as well as you humans?!  Yup, Nancy says that for every sentence or phrase I type, she will throw the ball for me to fetch, so this may be a long blog!   I can hardly contain my excitement because summer means more time with Nancy home, especially this summer, not to mention that I heard that she is picking up my friend Harmony this week to visit.  Harmony is my sister Serenade’s granddaughter and if you recall, she stayed here last fall for two weeks while her owner was on vacation.    Ok, please don’t misunderstand me, we love Nancy and Greg, but a dog can only handle that human chatter for so long and then, we must be with our own kind.

Speaking of  language chatter, we had some German visitors last night and while they know our owners don’t speak German, they might forget that dogs can translate any language.   You see, we listen to the tone of the words, watch expressions and just get a sense of people.   We really liked the German visitors and I have included a photo of them.    We are hoping that we will see them again before they head back to Germany?!

We finally had  what you folks call a “pedicure” or shall I say PAWdicure today!  Well, only a partial pawdicure because we only had our toenails ground down.   I don’t squirm on the grooming table anymore because I prefer to have my toenails shorter and I don’t want Nancy to wait so long to grind my toenails in the future.    Yes, we are hoping to be groomed soon too.
